What an incredible experience! I had such a fantastic time in Monte Carlo with the amazing Voodoo Deluxe family!
Performing at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel was great as we performed outside at 11pm and it was still HOT!
It was really really hot!
I was very happy to fly out with Betsy Rose and share a gorgeous view and Hotel room with her. I also got to see Dolly L'amour again, I love her. Looking forward to being back there in Sept x

La Bordello Boheme a Night under the sea
Core blimey,
We sold out on this event and were very very pleased to do so,
It was packed and we had some amazing acts, the lovely Wanda De Lullabies (all the way from France) did her little bikini and her hawaiin act, it was very cute.
Emerald Ace and her strong man and Sushi Octopus, I love her shows, great use of music and facial expressions. We also had the lovely Paul Roberts singing with us and Belladonna Button.
The Staff all dressed up as little mermaids and sailors, they looked amazing and it's so nice that they make the effort there.
The lovely sailor boy Myles had to carry me onto the stage for my Mermaid act. Bless him, I think ariel would have been considerably lighter,
I couldn't move in my tail tho, not even a little bit.

Gorilla Burlesque
Here are some VERY rough videos, first one of my Gorilla act from the Brighton Ballrooms, it is a very new act and needs to be tweeked in a few places, including the music and Gorilla choreography. But this give you a basic idea,
It's a tribute to Marlene Dietrichs Hot Voodoo from the 1930s. A bit of fun really...but the costume was a nightmare and covered me in fluff.

The Original idea.
The Carnie
Performing the Carnie at La Bordello Boheme, it's a bit slow and not the best act ever but I really enjoyed dancing to Tom Waits again.

Testemonials
"With her sensational, intricate costumes and her unrivaled artistic flair, Billie Rae pays an exuberant and loyal homage to 1920s burlesque and bohemia. She is an asset to any performance." - Lady Alex, Wam Bam Club, Cafe de Paris
'She's Fab!'
- Richie Warren Fuel Girls
'Staying true to the glamour of the 1920s but with a seductive, teasing edge, Billie Rae is one of the most captivating and mesmerising dancers that I have been lucky enough to watch.'
- Myles Storey- Brighton Ballroom'Billie Rae is one of the most compelling performers on the London circuit today - a true carnival spirit, fabulous costuming, exotic and intriguing acts, and fire skills that will blow you away - a true bohemian starlet!'
- Missy Fatale - The Swinging Burlesque Boudoir, Volupte

'Billie Rae is one of those rare gems in burlesque someone who performs as well as she shoots, she is a a true enchantress it feels like she has stepped out of a 1920's silent film and sprung to life under a dusty spotlight a definite rising star of vintage burlesque'
- Neil Kendell
"I first met Billie Rae at London Burlesque Week 2010, where she stood out in a crowd of 150 other international performers for her incredible fire breathing talents, classic vintage beauty and an extremely glittery behind! Having only just begun my photography career at this point, it was a real honour when Billie agreed to visit the studio a few months later for a shoot, not knowing that these images would eventually end up in numerous international magazines over the next 12 months!
Billie is great fun to work with and the studio was full of laughter all day, whilst maintaining a professional attitude at all times. Since the shoot, we've continued to work together on a number of occasions and I can't wait for the next shoot!

Bordello Boheme June 25th
Howdy Ya'll, what a night!!
We had a cracking show at the Brighton Ballroom with our 4th Bordello, and boy oh boy was it a corker.
Saloon girls, cowboys and plenty of dancing and cheering!!
With a fantastic line up including Tabitha with her amazing voice, The Swing ninjas, Sweet Tease, Annette Bette and of coarse, Coco Deville, myself and Veronica Blacklace.
I performed two new acts I came up specially for the Saloon theme, the first was a Murder Ballad to Nick Caves Wild Rose. (The one with Kylie) I performed a slightly hmm Kate Bush inspired costume and act, but it went down well and had lots of rose petals and sparkles.
I then did a Carnie, rolls into town with the circus, I danced to Clap your Hands by Tom Waits. It was a bit of a hybrid costume from my Gorilla and Ballerina, but that seemed to be well recieved specially with the fire breathing at the end. Here are some snaps from the show.
With Thanks to photographers

Aloha!
I loved this night, it was great to work with Missy Malone again and is always a pleasure to work with the lovely Coco Deville, I also got to meet Cherry Shakewell, we have both been a resident performer at the Ballrooms and yet not come across each other so it was nice to finally meet her. Her acts were cracking too.
Betty Nails, Coco Deville, Cherry Shakewell, Paul Zenon, me, Missy Malone and Sukki Singapora
I also had the pleasure of working with Brighton lovelies Trixy vixen and Betty Nails, both were an absolute pleasure and made the night go so smoothly, Betty with her fantastic stage kitty skills and Trixy with her wonderful compering. They both were such a massive help I would have been jelly without them.
Paul Zenon the magician came and did a quick turn with a fruity mix of an act, it was funny and very nice to be a part of the show.
And last but certainly not least was Sukki Singapora. Wow what a lady, her acts were great and her look was very unusual, I hope she does well as she's new to the scene but has a lot to offer and I think is a really unique performer.
I did miss my Veronica tho.
I performed my first outing of the Gorilla, politely named by my Gruff, RANGA Kong, as i'm ginger and he calls me Ranga. Nice.
It's a tribute to Marlene Dietrech's Hot Voodoo from the 30's. I will admit it need a major amount of tweeking and it was certainly a freestyled routine BUT it went okay and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Thank you to my Gruff who made the music for me. I love him.
Here are some pics...
I also performed my Humming bird routine. Both of these acts still need some tweeking!!
Betty Nails, Coco Deville, Cherry Shakewell, Paul Zenon, me, Missy Malone and Sukki Singapora
I think Trixy had gone for a stiff drink.
Thanks for a Great show! x
